GAC provides full project management services for organizations wishing to achieve certification to ISO Standards. Following Gap Analysis, Teamwork will prepare a detailed project plan to be agreed by your management team. All actions will have clearly defined deliverables and timescales, which will be consolidated into a Continuous Service Improvement Plan (CSIP). Once you have agreed these actions we drive the implementation programme for you to minimize the impact on your resources and to achieve certification in the required time.
As a first step, GAC produces a comprehensive overview document which sets the framework for the project. This will aid the certification process by providing the assessors with clear descriptions of policy, objectives, responsibilities, resources, systems and processes. The overview will make it easier for your employees, partners, suppliers and subcontractors to assimilate all of your management systems through a single document.
GAC consultants will work closely with your management team to draft policy and process documents and will develop effective controls for manuals and support documentation. A key feature of our approach is to draft as much of the documentation as possible for members of your organization to review, rather than leaving them to begin with a blank sheet of paper.
GAC will help brief your organization to ensure your people understand the new processes and policies. This includes training of employees, education of internal auditors, provision of awareness and guidance information, and support to individual actions that need to be completed to prepare for formal assessment.
GAC will identify and recommend an accredited certification organization, an assessor that is credible at all levels in your organization and can be seen to add value during the assessment process which normally comprises two stages. We will then manage the interface with the certification organization throughout the implementation and assessment stages of the project.
As part of our Integrated Management Systems suite, Certification Programme Management is the element which allows you to plan and achieve your certifications with minimal impact to your resources.
All organizations involved in food handling, production, Catering and retailing are required to set up and operate an effective food safety management system. Using pragmatic business-focused methodologies, GAC provides Gap Analysis services to assist clients, partners and their customers to compare their current systems and processes against recognized best practice as a first step to achieving certification to specific ISO standards. Analysis is based on interviews with key members of your organization to establish your current position in relation to the required standard(s).
GAC’s high level Gap Analysis compares existing core processes, practices and documentation with the requirements of the relevant individual or multiple ISO standards. It identifies where the organization meets requirements and where there are gaps. We then give recommendations on resources and actions needed to fill these gaps as well as the timescales necessary to achieve certification.
A high level review of your existing documentation is carried out to establish whether or not it is appropriate and reflects current practice. Any changes required supporting improvements in line with best practice and the requirements of the relevant standards are identified.
Once we have completed the analysis we prepare a detailed report and present the results to your senior management team. The report will clearly identify where you are meeting the requirements. It will also pinpoint gaps, with recommendations on the actions you need to take to fill them and a realistic timescale in which certification can be achieved.
Once certification to ISO Standards has been achieved, GAC can help your organization continue to comply with the requirements. This includes maintaining your management systems and managing regular Continued Assessment Visits (CAVs) by assessors to ensure ongoing compliance.
GAC will help you to set up a Continuous Service Improvement Programme (CSIP), a powerful tool which will generate real benefits for your organization. Our professional teams will help you to understand the continuing challenges your business faces from ever-changing technologies and legislation, and will help you identify and plan remedial actions to realize improvements in your operations.
GAC consultants will undertake internal audits of your management systems on your behalf to monitor compliance on an ongoing basis, coordinating the results with detailed management reviews. The audits will help you to identify opportunities for improvement which will add value to your business and meet best practice standards.
GAC consultants maintain close associations with the standards organizations and so are ideally placed to ensure ongoing awareness of emerging trends and compliance with changing legislation and standards development.
As part of our Integrated Management Systems suite, the Managed IMS Services element is designed to ensure the continuous improvement of your management systems in line with the ISO standard requirements.
